Spillers sign

Thanks to Jim, there is a new Spillers image in the random rotation today. A photo of the 'Spillers' sign from the family cabin in Crestline, California. Check out the nearby Blue Jay village web cam. It is apparently located inside the McDonald's.

Irish Independent Online - Sunday Independent , Irish newspapers, News Ireland: "Tomkins makes Spillers bid THE BATTLE to acquire British Group Dalgety's food ingredients and flour milling divisions became more intensive yesterday with confirmation that the giant British engineering and food conglomerate Tomkins was interested in Dalgety's Spillers flour business."

Remeber the Alamo!

Today I visited The Alamo. It was easy to see why the Texans developed the phrase "Remember the Alamo". Without it, it would be pretty easy to forget. At least the building would be anyway, if not for the battle that took place there. It's a very small and dwarfed by the surrounding buildings in downtown San Antonio.
